This time, we stayed at the Hotel Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi. It was a two-day Tokyo trip, and we had various experiences such as fine dining and visiting art museums, making it a very memorable one.

Upon arriving at noon, we decided to have lunch. Our destination was Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. The goal was to enjoy the best eel at "Unagi Izumo-ya." We waited for about 20 minutes due to the crowd and finally got to savor the eagerly awaited grilled eel. The eel was as expected, tender with a rich flavor, and the sauce was a delicious masterpiece.

Later, we walked to Otemachi for some exercise. We reached the Otemachi One building, initially got lost looking for the entrance to the Four Seasons, but eventually found it and opened the impressive doors.

When we traveled to Nice in 2023, we had intended to visit the Matisse Museum but had to give up on entry due to its sudden closure upon arrival. This time, we had the opportunity to see a large number of Matisse's works, including cutouts, paintings, sculptures, and prints. The highlight was the cutout "Flowers and Fruits," a 4x8m masterpiece making its first appearance in Japan, which was truly breathtaking. Additionally, there was a full-scale reproduction of the interior of the Vence Rosary Chapel by Matisse, and the vibrant light through the stained glass was mystical. We seriously considered a trip to Vence to see the real thing next time. It was a very satisfying exhibition.

After leaving the museum, we returned to Nihonbashi. We bought souvenirs at Mitsukoshi and had lunch at COREDO Muromachi across the street. Since it was delicious when we visited before, we had soba and Japanese sake at Inada. The sake was a Junmai Ginjo called INATAHIME made from the sake-brewing suitable rice "Strong," chilled and fragrant, rich in flavor, and paired well with delicious soba. It was the best lunch, concluding our enjoyable trip to Tokyo.

★ Extraordinary Experience: It was enjoyable that English was widely spoken throughout the facility, and staff interactions were conducted in English. Despite being a luxury hotel in the heart of Tokyo, it was possible to experience the utmost relaxation.
